Our Firm

Financial Services Advisories LLC (“FSA”) has been organized by Marshall Davidson and James Valeo to advise financial services companies and investors on business planning, valuations, raising capital, mergers, acquisitions and sales, asset strategies, restructurings and reorganizations and negotiations with shareholders, creditors, prospective investors, investment banks and regulators.

Davidson and Valeo worked together at Salomon Bros. and later, at Drexel Burnham Lambert where they were senior investment bankers in that firm’s financial institutions group. In the late 1980s and early 1990s they and their colleagues advised investors and financial institutions on significant restructurings and recapitalizations including that of Mellon Bank Corporation in 1988, still the largest non-government assisted restructuring of a U.S. bank.

To provide security-specific pricing information (e.g., the pricing of bank debt or equity securities), FSA intends to rely on organizations which are currently active in those fields. When its advisory assignments involve asset-specific pricing or strategy issues (such as commercial loans and securitized or structured assets or trading strategies), FSA intends that it or its clients will retain one of several specialists firms active in investing in those securities.
